About The Event
At the age of 14 Eric-Jan Overbeek heard Fats Domino play the Swanee River Hop on the radio. It was from that moment that his fate was sealed. He decided then and there he wanted to be a Boogie Woogie piano player.

"Mr. Blueberry Hill", "the Fat Man" and "King of the Big beat" were only a few nicknames for Antoine Domino, better known as Fats Domino. Based in New Orleans, his first hit record was in 1949. This made Fats one of the pioneers of Rock & Roll, including dozens of hit records during his career. Unfortunately, Domino passed away in 2017 at the age of 89 and yet it seems we still cannot get enough of his music. Songs such as "Blue Monday", "I'm Ready" and of course "Blueberry Hill" will carry you away to the Hay Days of "Mr. Rhythm & Blues" himself; Fats Domino!
Pianist/singer Eric-Jan Overbeek aka Mr. Boogie Woogie was born on April 5, 1967 in the Netherlands. Mesmerized by that old piano in the living room, Eric-Jan began studying classical piano at the age of eight. He demonstrated early an extraordinary talent for musical arrangement and got his first job at age twelve playing piano as an accompanist for dance classes.
